Locavore: A person who chooses locally grown foods, often growing their own fruits and vegetables and doing their own canning and pickling. They eat "out of region" only those foods not grown in their region, such as coffee and olive oil. The term was coined by a San Francisco group interested in promoting local sustainable agriculture and raising consumer awareness. They advocate eating food grown within a 100 mile radius of one's location.
This is my journey to become a WI locavore.
